The Village of Breton is located in Brazeau County at the junction of Secondary Highway 616 (east/west) and Highway 20 (north/south). It is 108 km southwest of Alberta's capital city, Edmonton, and 58 km southeast of Drayton Valley.
Outdoor recreation is excellent with several lakes nearby offering camping, fishing, swimming and skating. Snowmobiling, horseback riding and cross country skiing are also popular. Golfing is abundant with two nine-hole golf courses, one within the corporate limits of the Village of Breton and one on the outskirts, complete with a driving range. Breton is encouraging growth, personally, commercially and professionally and continues to blend monetary advantages with an easy going lifestyle.
The Village of Breton celebrated its 50th Anniversary in 2007. Celebrations corresponded with the Village's annual July 1st Canada Day celebrations. |
