Residents in Breton buried this time capsule, being held by Mayor Darren Aldous, to celebrate Alberta's Centennial in 2005.

Council of Breton
There's lots to do in Breton!
The Village of Breton is governed by a Mayor and 4 Councillors. Council meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in Council Chambers of the Carolyn Strand Civic Centre. The public is welcome to attend all regular Council Meetings.

Two Student Advisors from the Breton High School and two Senior Advisors from the Community are part of Village Council. They bring both ideas and information to the Council Meetings. The advisors are not allowed to vote on subjects that are brought forth to Council.
