Seniors and Health Care
There's lots to do in Breton!
Breton is chosen by many as a safe, peaceful community to raise children, and with all the recreational amenities in the area, has become a preferred home for seniors and retirees.

HEALTH & MEDICAL CENTRES
Call 911 for any emergency in the Breton, Brazeau, or Drayton Valley area.Breton offers an Extended Care Hospital with 23 long term care beds. The conversion of these beds from acute care to long term care was completed and officially opened in the fall of 1994. The residents are encouraged to be as independent, comfortable and active as possible in this excellent facility.

In the same building as the extended care hospital is the Breton Medical Centre. Open three days per week, doctors are based out of Drayton Valley, but also provide services in Breton. Laboratory and X-Ray services are available right at the Medical Centre. Emergencies must go to the nearby hospitals or call the ambulance.

Breton is a 9-1-1 community.
