WATER SUPPLY
Breton has an abundant source of water approved and certified by Alberta Environment. This high quality resource is utilized in the Village by two wells. The Reservoir has a capacity of 400,000 gallons. The Village of Breton does not meter its water, instead a flat monthly rate is charged to the residents.

SEWAGE
Sewage treatment for the Village of Breton is provided by a series of lagoons consisting of 4 short and 2 long term detention ponds.

WASTE MANAGEMENT
All residential and commercial garbage is collected weekly by to RRD Waste Management Inc. from Sherwood Park. There is a 40-yard bin located in the Public Works Storage Yard which is open to the public on Saturdays from November 15th - April 15th and Thursday, Friday and Saturdays from April 15th - November 15th. A burning pile for trees and leaves is also available to the residents.

RECYCLING
The Village of Breton began a bi-weekly residential curb-side blue-bag recycling program in September 2006 with Ever Green Ecological Services out of Sherwood Park. For further information log onto www.evergreeneco.ca.
